Pictish Worms is located in the beautiful North East of Scotland. With over 25 years of experience in vermiculture, vermicomposting, and vermicast, we are passionate about educating and raising awareness about the importance of worms in waste management, the environment, and organic growing and farming.
Our founder and director, Scott, collaborates with growers, higher education and research institutions to further validate the benefits of vermiculture and vermicompost. While not a panacea, worms play a vital role in ensuring soil health and combating climate change. Scott aims to expand and scale up the production of worms and castings to put the North East of Scotland at the forefront of worm research .
At Pictish Worms, we cater to a wide range of customers, from domestic gardeners to commercial growers. We seek to support industries find alternative waste solutions for their biomass. Our vermicompost and vermicastings are natural and sustainable alternatives to chemical fertilisers that promote healthy plant growth and suppress plant diseases and pests. They are also rich in nutrients and organic matter that can improve soil health and fertility.
